About Us

NOWCAP Black Lung Clinic is federally funded through the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). We are a comprehensive cardio-pulmonary program developed in 1982 by Northwestern Community Action Programs, Inc. of Wyoming. The overall goals of the program are to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with occupational coal dust exposure by promoting maximum functionality of our patients’ cardiopulmonary health, improving patient compliance with doctor’s recommendations and safety regulations, decreasing prevalence of Black Lung cases, and improving quality of life for miners.

All information obtained through NOWCAP will remain strictly confidential and will be stored in your patient file. A copy of your testing will be mailed to you for you to share with your primary care physician.
